Brand Strategist for Women Rebuilding Business Around Who They’ve Become

Ashley blends strategic insight with reflective depth, offering frameworks that are both practical and human. With a background spanning branding, creative direction, marketing design and cultural storytelling, Ashley brings over a decade of experience working across entrepreneurial, corporate and creative ecosystems.

Clarity as a Competitive Advantage
In a culture that rewards speed, volume, and constant output, creativity has become louder—but not necessarily smarter. This talk explores how the most resonant brands, leaders, and creatives are shifting away from reactive production and toward intentional, strategic clarity.
Ashley introduces a modern framework for creative decision-making—one that values discernment, restraint, and alignment as essential tools for navigating overstimulation. Through real-world examples and reflective prompts, audiences learn how to quiet external noise, sharpen internal signal, and create work that actually lands.
Audience Takeaways
Why clarity outperforms speed in modern creative ecosystems
How to recognize when “more” is actually diluting impact
A practical model for making confident creative decisions
Tools for protecting focus and creative energy

How Intuition and Strategy Work Together
Alignment is often spoken about, but rarely defined. This talk reframes alignment not as a feeling—but as a measurable relationship between values, energy, and decision-making.
Ashley guides audiences through a new way of thinking about brand and leadership—one where intuition and strategy are not opposites, but collaborators. Participants learn how misalignment quietly erodes momentum, and how aligned decision-making creates coherence, trust, and long-term sustainability.
Audience Takeaways
How to identify misalignment before it becomes burnout
Why intuition is a strategic asset (when properly framed)
A diagnostic lens for brand and leadership decisions
Practices for creating internal coherence in fast-paced environments

Why the Next Era Requires Emotional Intelligence & Discernment
The future of leadership isn’t louder, faster, or more performative—it’s quieter, clearer, and more emotionally intelligent. This talk explores how creative leadership is evolving, and why the next era demands self-awareness as much as vision.
Ashley examines the cultural shift away from hustle-based leadership toward models rooted in trust, discernment, and human sustainability. Designed for leaders navigating uncertainty, this session offers a grounded roadmap for leading creatively without burning out yourself—or your team.
Audience Takeaways
The leadership skills most undervalued today—and most needed tomorrow
How emotional intelligence impacts creative performance
Why sustainable leadership is a strategic advantage
Tools for leading with clarity during uncertainty
About
Ashley Gaffney is a Creative Director, Brand Strategist, and founder of Ashley Gaffney Design, a boutique studio she’s run since 2012. Her path started at the Savannah College of Art & Design, where she studied graphic design, and led through Hallmark Cards — first as a greeting card designer creating national retail products, then as a Senior Designer on the Mahogany brand, where she helped shape campaigns that reached 20 million-plus impressions and won multiple AIGA KC Design Awards, including Juror's Choice for “Uplifted & Empowered.”
Alongside her studio work, Ashley has built a second, deeply personal practice: facilitating brand clarity workshops for women entrepreneurs — particularly women of color — at pivotal identity moments in their businesses.
Her sessions, including her “Design as Power" workshop series delivered at the University of Denver’s Women's College and the Baddies with Business retreat, guide founders through the uncomfortable, necessary work of asking whether their brand still reflects who they are — or who they used to be.
Ashley’s facilitation style is intimate and unhurried: she works in small rooms, holds silence deliberately, and coaches live rather than lecturing. She doesn’t teach branding as decoration. She teaches it as a form of self-recognition — the thing a founder already knows but hasn’t yet said out loud.
