My little boy turned one and there was not a more fitting theme than him as a strongman being featured in the circus. But, a traditional circus wasn't feisty enough for his character, so, I envisioned the Circus-Bazaar: a cultural play on the community, food and entertainment you find at the circus. All the culinary flavors were bold, the lettering and design colorful and vibrant and spirits were high. Come one, come all!

A collection of the work brainstormed, designed and built over the course of a month for the 2013 Black History Month celebration at Hallmark Cards, Inc. This year’s theme, “Remember The Dream, Live The Legacy,” commemorates the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic, “I Have A Dream” speech; and celebrates those who paved the way, and the contemporary change agents, who continue to make their mark.

This styled shoot was a sophisticated rendition of the 80's and part of the #outoftheboxchallenge sponsored by Catalyst Wed Co. Our team was one of ten selected to receive a mystery box of items that then had to get utilized as part of a shoot. We wanted to balance the lightheartedness of love with the moody space of the venue. Our goal was to integrate pops of fun, elements of the decade and architectural hard lines and edges. Everyone who worked on the shoot was a local Colorado business and we were so proud to give shine to all the diverse talent in the Denver area.

For 40 years the Colorado Children's Chorale has been a musical community that opens the eyes of children to arts education, discipline, performance and travel. I was fortunate enough to be a part of this family for 5 years and more recently afforded the opportunity to give back to the organization that gave so much to me. In addition to designing the marketing collateral, I was also able to attend the gala event, see the work in person and be reunited with my musical family!
